Here we will examine and learn the Real truth about the so-called
"Residents Groups"

Sinn Fein/IRA orchestrated areas of conflict

Keady

In Keady, nationalists reacted angrily to the granting of a parade passing through the town centre on July 11 and will hold a peaceful protest against the march.

A decision to allow LOL No 8 to parade unrestricted through Keady town centre on July 11 has angered local nationalists. The Parades Commission ruled that “this church parade, properly conducted as we expect it to be, should not have a significant adverse impact on community relations.”

Jim McNally, of the Keady Residents Association, said nationalists were “very upset” at the decision and found it inconsistent with other recent high-profile rulings. “We asked to meet the Orange Order on a number of occasions and were turned down. What we object to is the fact they would not engage in dialogue with the nationalist people,” he said.

“Marches down the Garvaghy Road and Lower Ormeau Road were banned for lack of dialogue, so what makes the people of Keady different from those in Portadown or Belfast?” Local Sinn Fein councillor Brian Cunningham said the parade would cause animosity in the “97 per cent nationalist town” and urged nationalists to join the residents’ peaceful protest on Sunday evening.

“The Parades Commission said it won’t cause any offence to the residents, but this is totally inaccurate. There has been trouble in the past and this will only serve to heighten sectarian tensions further,” he said.

This is a classic case of the republican mindset as they totally refuse to accept a tradition different from their own. There is no Parity of Esteem shown here regarding the Protestant community who's only wish is for a short parade from and to Church.

Again the nationalists are quite happy when the ruling on parades by the Parades Commission goes their way but it is a completely different story when the unelected Quango of the Parades Commission decisions have the reversed effect.
